EAPrez's First Platoon Deploys

I went to the local Dollar Store today and they had TONS of these guys just hanging around awaiting orders. I brought home four bags of them. Here are photo's of my first platoon.

Close-up of the troops in preparing for deployment.

During a practice mission - the platoon secures the keyboard! I left a couple of them in the grocery store this evening - and one on the ATM Machine. I can't wait to run errands tomorrow.

Mere Coincidence?

After a weekend of spreading the soldiers about, including the Dollar Tree where I purchased said soldiers, I returned this afternoon to get some more.
There were none.
Hmmmm....is it just me, or is this an awfully odd coincidence?

Deftblade's Dogs: Battle Monument holding strong

After 72 hours and 2 heavy rainstorms,
5 Deftblade's Dogs are still holding strong at The Sandy Hill Battle Monument ever since their deployment on Memorial Day. "They can't wash away the truth, Sir" they reminded me as I snapped this night shot.

Respect to all my fellow Kommanders

Deftblade's Dogs: Night Ops

Main Street bus stop - 3 Deftblade's Dogs lying in wait for unsuspecting morning commuters. Imminent danger of large-bottomed Loop riders.

Feeder Canal Park - 3 Deftblade's Dogs set-up surveilance at a picnic table area, with bird's eye view of the heavily traveled Feeder Canal Bike Path.

3 Deftblade's Dogs were also successfully dropped at a local Stewarts Shoppe, but my fumbling inability to operate a digital camera proved destructive, and those 3 brave Dogs were dropped without adequate media coverage. "Don't worry about us Sir ... we're solid!" they said as I left.

Respect to all my fellow Kommanders

Hooterville Hellcats Reporting, Sir: Mission Accomplished!

cross-posted at Last Left Turn Before Hooterville

The Hooterville Hellcats launched an assault upon Sherman Oaks today. Unfortunately, due to the danger and secrecy of their mission, and the fact that I can't find my digital camera, they could only be seen by camera-phone.

First, they secured their communications base.

Then, they captured the enemy's fueling station.

The Hooterville Hellcats proceeded to deploy all across Sherman Oaks, capturing bus stops, coffee shops, and even into the belly of the beast - the Galleria! We're fighting over here so we don't have to fight over there.

Major combat operations in Sherman Oaks have ended, but the War Against War continues for as long as necessary - six days, six weeks - I doubt six months...

Storming L.A.

The Crackpot Press Corps tackled Erhwan's Health Food Store; Then "The Grove." the Farmer's Market, the Whisper Lounge, a Starbucks and a Mobil Station, the mailboxes at my apartment complex on Saturday. But alas there was no camera...

Today, there are some more to be added... with pictures... it's a little "Where's Waldo?" but the Crackpot Press Corp is on duty! Not pictured was a deployment of a radio commander in the Toby Keith Section of Ameoba Records.

One infantry man had a terrible assignment... the rocks are out a fouintain just around the corner from this movie theater. Sgt. Camo is hiding in the red circle

This next bit is me being Ironic.

And the first rule of war? Take the Media Centers!

Pro-Football Hall of Fame INVADED!

In addition to deploying my men in at least 15 different stores around the Stark County, Ohio area all weekend long, Hubby and I chose the 2 visitor hotspots: Pro-Football Hall of Fame and Pres William McKinley's National Memorial Mausoleum and Park.

Next to a trash can, he is guarding the stone stairs that lead to the entrance of the Hall of Fame.

Uh oh... that Kommando is gonna kick some football lovin ass and take names.

President McKinley's Natl Memorial Mausoleum and Park: Kommandos invaded acre after acre!

Since President McKinley himself once said that he wanted the very area that makes up the vast acreage of his National Memorial site to be a place to honor the war dead from any American conflict, Hubby and I thought deploying our Kommandos here was most appropriate.

This Kommando stealthly hides out on the many levels of HUGE granite steps that lead to Prez McKinley's mausoleum.

Looks kinda cloudy... but he's more than ready to take all on.

Stealth Kommando Deployed

Kommander Windspike Reporting In: I've managed to sneak my last trooper into a local pub last evening. Should have many friends there as it is known home to many leftist radicals.

My troops, now, are fully deployed and my barracks dry. May need to go out and purchase some contracted mercenaries for future deployments. Word on the street is that I could sell some government bonds to China in order to cover those costs. Any one know about how to run that one past the American people?

Memorial Day 2006

The bus stop next to Fort MacArthur Air Force Base (not the museum, the actual base) has this movie poster next to it. It begged to be photographed.

Then, at The Korean Friendship Bell, I deployed these Daredevils:

Right after I took the second shot showing the Korean Friendship Bell, two elderly women walked up to look at the soldiers. I did not photograph them, as I was listening to them discuss them. They seemed to think this was a very interesting idea, and decided to leave them for someone else to visit.

At another location, Angels Gate, overlooking the port of Los Angles, I deployed these Daredevils to the great amusement of a Japanese family who had no shame about laughing and pointing at me.

So now I know how to upload pictures, and my brain hurts.

Mission (District) Accomplished

Generik's Guerrillas have been a busy bunch this Memorial Day weekend. Among the places they've been stationed are the Caltrain station; the Post Office; Whole Foods, Safeway and Cala; Borders and Green Apple Books; Clement Street; Polk Gulch; Oyster Point Marina; AT&T Park, and especially at the Carnaval parade and celebration in the Mission District. Most of these pictures are from Carnaval Saturday and Sunday.
One brave lad protected my dashboard while I was out deploying the troops.
Standing guard in the ticket booth at the Victoria Theater on 16th Street.
Many of the troops ended up mixed in with the merchandise at various booths along the Carnaval street fair route on Harrison, like this fellow among the keychains.
Also this soldier among the coin purses.
While a number of others found themselves attached to various floats in the parade.
A bit hard to see, this particularly unique headless and one-legged volunteer nevertheless managed to hold his own in a chess game with some Aztec allies.
Many of the brave lads blended in with the local color.
While others were selected for point duty, heading up the various floats.
No one likes pulling latrine duty, but this soldier volunteered, and never once complained.
Placed in the hand of a skeleton draping the front of a limousine, this soldier was still on duty when I came back by for inspection over an hour later.
A lot of the troops became a part of the parade; this fellow had a comfortable perch on one of many masks made completely from recycled materials that made up this particular float.
Again, just one more participant on the floats.
And one more.
This lucky soldier got to do his duty guarding the statue of Willie Mays at the Giants' ballpark.

Kommandos siege Liberty Bell!!

(Cross-posted at Lassiter Space)--These photos document the Kommando takeover of the Liberty Bell in Philly. In the top pic (click to enlarge) the Kommandos are taking the Cooper River route into PA from NJ.
This 2nd pic is of me preparing to deploy the Kommandos on the west side of the Liberty Bell Pavilion. (click to enlarge) My friend and neighbor Andrea assumes an anrgy posture in the Pavilion's northern side. Hey, you'd be anrgy too if you were contemplating the war and its consequences.
