Good afternoon. This morning, our troops were ready to begin their assault on the Rocky Mountain foothills and yarn stores.
They had their slogans ready, and were prepared for combat.
Sadly, as we were preparing to leave the house, our senior staff had a slight...difference of opinion as to how to proceed. This is what one of us gets for failing to secure agreement before something happens. So.
The battalion will be heading for the evening's entertainment (our local drive-in and dinner), but they were not permitted to leave today.
I'll be writing about this later this weekend. They will also be attending Decoration Day ceremonies on Monday (which was discussed and agreed to).

Delayed deployment is no set back. The important factor is that they are ready, willing, and able to perform their duties, and that they shall do bravely and with honor.
