Beyond sick can't even begin to describe my disdain for the W, Rove and Co. Is it possible that they have traversed the chasm between patriotism and treason? Yup, indeed they have. Just like there is a fine line between genius and insanity, there is a faint line between patriotism and betrayal of one's country...The W, Rove and Co has crossed it, in my book.Not to insinuate that anyone beyond Uncle Karl is a genius in the W, Rove and Co. but certainly, if one professes to be a patriot loud enough, are they not possibly treasonous people guilty of the betrayal of what America has come to stand for? Indeed, checkmate is the use of warrantless wire taps, singing statements and the GOP SOP of lying to avoid answering for one's sins, not to mention then number of innocents KIA and wounded on behalf of a supposedly "nobel" cause...fuck.
I really am in a sour mood. I just watched Jarhead....it's not fun. Anyone that would revel in the killing - even if justified has lost a nut. Too bad the W, Rove and Co is sacrificing all that is good about America, and for what? Fuck them. I should have had the tequila I spoke about earlier....I wouldn't be on line typing at you right now.

Good morning. Unfortunately, we are all feeling a little bleak on the subject of GWB incorporated. The only way out is through and that means constantly speaking out against the depredations of this crowd while hoping they don't destroy the nation before we can give them all the heave ho.
I agree Jamie. By speaking out in an informative non-confrontational way, we can raise awareness of the many treasonous crimes perpetrated by the current administration. Which is why the Kommandos project is a good thing, thousands of kommandos deployed for the singular purpose of informing those who may not have knowledge of the crimes of the Bush administration. Perhaps a sticky note post at the top of the blog listing the many verifiable crimes and unconstitutionality of the current regime, with the URL for this blog listed on every kommando.
I thought Jarhead to be disturbing...and why should REAL war be any different to a sane person...which proves they are insane keeping this thing going.
Lew, I tagged most of my soldiers with the url to this blog for the Memorial Day deployment. I agree that a non-confrontational approach is quite effective. But I just learned of a film, called "Loose Change" which is a documentary that discusses a conspiracy theory around 9/11 which has me terrified at this moment.
I have found it very difficult to be non-confrontational in the past, but I agree that we, on the left, must tone our rhetoric down, if we want to bring about change. Don’t get me wrong, this is easier said than done, when we are dealing which such blatant deception and violence.
I think Jarhead raises some good questions about the kind of culture we are fostering in the state. a culture that allows young men to see war as a videogame and not value life in any meaningful way, needs help. If we want to change politics we must begin work on our culture.
I would like to ask you and all your readers a favor. I would like as many Bloggers as possible to check out my site and comment on my most recent post: Bloggers of the World Unite. I understand that this may, at first, appear to be flagrant fishing for readers and obnoxious self-promotion, but that is not my intention. I think my rage meters are shot. Nothing these pigs do is a shock anymore. In a real society of patriots, these guys would be in jail. That speaks volumes about our country and in particular the Republican party. NO accountability whatsoever.
There is a dark corner of hell being created for the Bush Administration, that's for sure.

It is not worth being confrontational with the bigots, best way is to try and embaress them with their own rhetoric whenever they start the macho bullplop. I also find pointing out that their is a psychological link between machoistic posturing and penis size. For some reason this approach is not so effective on females though.
a study i wouldn't mind undertaking, if there were only funding for it..........
